"The Best of Hed PE" CD + DVD...

I've just noticed it on their myspace,
it says they're going to release a new CD/DVD with their greatest hits + some live show on May 25.

This is come coo shit to hold me down til the next album!

kinda gay..but a nice suprise would have prefered diy guys 2 instead of this
but hell at least i know its coming

No, I just spoke with Jahred after the Haarlem show, according to him the new record is gonna hit stores in September.
he also told me the songs were done, and that it is a much heavier album. Also he said that the production for this record is better,
since it's all done in a *major* studio instead of his homebased thing.

And when we asked about DIY guys 2, he said that he really wants to do one. But is not sure if he'll make it this year.

So I think we can rule out that this is an excuse for DIY2, and I kinda agree with what is said above.
I'm having mixed feelings, I think I'll get it. But just for collection and DVD sake.

September is still 'late 2010' but, I like the sound of that, as opposed to like December or January

I like the sounds of it being heavier and better produced.

I still agree with my last post and everyone else though in saying the whole Best Of is not my favorite idea.

That poster is really really bad, damn. Aside from that, I'd like to see that DVD, should be pretty cool. At least, if it's a pro-shot show, not half-assed like DIY-Guys. Still, I'm more stoked about the new Deftones being released in May.

i mean theyve done 7 albums without ever puttin out a greatest hits album them selves
(the best of thats out now was put out without there knowing and permission)
im bummed this is what were gettin
but heres crossing my fingers that maybe since theve finished 2010 born again
will get a bonus tracks from that cd

maybe the dvd will have more suprises then what we know ( i know prob not)

No they are not. Not yet at least.
If they are going to put songs from all 7 albums, then maybe
But they are not. Itll will be subnoize era material.

If they do put a bonus track from the new album on it, and its a excellent quality DVD. then it will be worth it and ill admit wrong
But...I think we can all agree that probably wont happen lol

I guess the "best of" CD is intended for the new fans that they gained thanx to NWO and touring. So it's kinda cool if they get familiar with Hed's other stuff as well.

I even like the idea of a compilation of their best Subnoize tracks, hope there won't be any stupid intros/fillers, just music. Honestly, I'm willing to pay for the same songs once again as long as they aren't interrurpted with no silly sound clips. (sorry, this whole truth movement is not my cup of tea)

And I hope the DVD will be better than DIY Guys, which is mostly crap.
I wish it was a full, high quality live show and some backstage stuff.

Yes, it will be just Subnoize era stuff. As long as the DVD is good quality, I'm down. What they need is a really great live album. Check out Raw by Ra as a good example of a well mixed live album.

Greatest Hits? Yuck. I only care for the new album...not too excited about the DVD based on their last effort. Oh and yeah bro the new Deftones album has been leaked but be aware that there is most likely some more mixing to do...especially seeing as one of the songs has a gmail alert tone in it...It's a bit of a dodgy leak...Haha.

i think hed and subnoize records are in bad terms, and maybe theyre releasing the greatest hits only to comply with a contract.

any info on the tracklist yet?

lets just see how much this delays the next album... i think thats where the negativity is coming from.

Well be it as it may, (hed) might be for the whole underground scene but in the end of the day, they are looking for better pay checks like you and me. I can't hate on that.

I will buy, I am a supporter of them and if this means helping to pay for a next album, I'm in!

What will they do next, for me... Every album has been different, they have had albums with aggressive, excited, shit talking, sex, drugs, IFO's, anti-government, pro-government, great one liner songs but none are the same, in my opinion and every album for me is like a completely new experience in where they will go next...

I wonder if there's gonna be some pre-order with extras?
If so, I guess it should be announced soon if the album is gonna be released in may.

Pre-order price at international is crazy, about 30$ of shipping... I can't.

However, I hope they will record a new song for the best-of (with some luck...)

seems like (hed) gives much of a fuck about this release. they even havent mentioned anything on their official site (newworldorphans.com) what the fuck?

They just posted on their myspace this:

"LOOK OUT FOR Major Pain 2 Indee Freedom-The Best Of @hedPE CD/Live DVD In Stores June 22nd!!"

Im guessing that means the album has been pushed back from May to June.

so that's why there's no preorder yet...

I don't think its (hed) doing all the bullshit like this.
