I know that many of you guys listen to hiphop so I thought you could help me.
I'm writing my MA work on music and politics (mainly hiphop and punk) and I'm looking for some artists/songs that deal with politics, especially G.W.Bush.
So If you know any such tracks I'd appreciate your suggestions

check out "The Coup", latest album is called "Pick a bigger weapon". it fits ur description perfectly, plus its really awesome music (the earlier albums are of course also very political, I just mentioned the last one specifically to make it easier for u to search for that band). boots rieley (of "the coup") has also just started a band with tom morello called "street sweeper social club", since boots is considered one of the most political rappers I assume their new album also has some interesting content, i haven't listened to it yet though. but "the coup" is the band u definitely want to check out!

actually i think it's pretty hard to find any hip-hop album these days that doesn't have some sort of political slant or at least a few tracks that are politically focused. it has become almost trendy to tackle politics in music (some artists wouldn't even know what they were on about - 50cent etc?) - anyway you'll probably talk about this in your thesis.
The most prominent one for me is definitely: THE ROOTS. they are massively political (not to mention just plain awesome). check there albums: game theory, rising down, and to be released later this month: how i got over - which i'm sure will be discussing the after effects of the bush administration.
also of note:
NAS
Lupe Fiasco
KRS-one
Everlast - his most recent album was released during bush admin and the first track is entitled "kill the emperor"
Aussie Hip-Hop based 'The Herd' - almost 100% political. dealt with john howard in the same ways a lot of artists dealt with bush.

Immortal Technique is also extremely political. Revolutionary vol. 2 and The 3rd World are both great CD's.
