| So...the question is: What was your first HED experience? How did you find their music? Was it a show, a friend, a random track, an epic event???
Please, share it with us!
I found them by accident. I was absent-mindedly browsing thru CDs at a music store back home, and found Broke. The cover looked cool, so I bought it. So glad I did!! Been a fan since that day - that CD must have stayed in my car for months before I took it out.

| i was about 14 (about 8 years ago) and my mate gave me the self titled album to me for my birthday. he had already been listening to the newly released 'broke' for a few weeks and had decided to look into their first joint. straight away i was hooked. i remember that my favorite way to listen to them at that point was on my sony discman (fuck yeah!) on long road trips with my family. i would just stare out the window and contemplate all of jah's deep lyrics as shit went by. i think i especially liked crazy legs at that time for the sex rap novelty. | |

| A friend of mine who was living in Madison at the time heard some of Broke on JJO. Downloaded the CD, burned me a copy and the rest is history! | |

| the first two songs i heard were blackout and voices
ashamed to admit, i didnt like (hed) at first, when i heard blackout it was RIGHT when it came out, because i remember hearing it on satellite radio and, they premiered it, and asked for callers to call in and give their thoughts it was getting a lot of bad reviews lol
but when i heard voices, i fell in love...shortly after that became a bigger and bigger fan and now i LOVE blackout by the way haha

| First song I heard was P.O.S on a Metal Hammer (magazine) sampler CD back in 1998 when their first CD was out . almost 11years ago!! fark I then went and bought the album and have stayed faithful ever since! That same sampler CD also had System of a Down's first album song WAR? and again have listened to them ever since
Got the opportunity to catch (hed)p.e live @ Corner Hotel - Melbourne, Australia at the start of this year and it has truely been one of the tightest, loudest and full -on gig I have ever been to.. just absolutely awesome, cant wait for them to get back to OZ..

| I remember hearing the song Suck It Up on my brother's ex's mix CD. And She was like "I don't even know this band!"
I claimed to hate it, just because it was her. But I got home, and downloaded the Self-Titled first. Loved it.
Also, the name intrigued me, with the Parenthesis and what not.

| My old good friend sent me Wake Up, and I loved it. It was such a bad ass song and I had been looking for a heavy metal/rap style of music.
Went to my first Hed show 6 weeks later and have been a die hard fan since

| I first heard hed in like 2005 when I was 14. The first song I heard was Represent on XM radio I thought it was awesome, but I didn't buy a cd until 2006 I bought Only In America, and then all their other cd's they have been my favorite band ever since. | |

| I began listening to them after I heard one of their tracks on that show "Dark Angel" back in 2003, the track "Killing Time" I believe it was Jive knew what they were doing back then, but then they failed miserably | |

| (hed) had serpent boy on KoRn's family values extra values cd. That disc must be the best copilation disc of all times. BTK - corncob pipe, pitchshifter- wysiwyg, powerman 5000 - neckbone and all kinds of beautiful music. Was kind of thrown off by the sillly paranthesis as it was written hed (pe) on my mp3s and i thought it would be a silly band. but heard serpent boy a couple of times thought it was pretty good and downloaded firsty, ground, pos, tos, darky and some other songs from s/t that i found from napster. heard the intro on ground and i was hooked. this was back in 98. A link to the extra values disc here | |
