| I'm disappointed to I didn't think there would be so many songs that were just rap I thought they said this cd was suppose to be heavy the only songs that are heavy are the one's on the ep and from the samples none of the songs really sound heavy. | |

| Good. The last album was too heavy for my taste. There's nothing wrong with variety guys. Keep in mind, you're only hearing the 30 second clips... | |

- And I'm not disappointed in the least bit in how much they used Jahred's girlfriend on some of these songs. It's spread out just at the right spots in different songs. As opposed to, mirrorballin, where it's just one long song of her doing the same lines over and over. And it's not just the same lines either like someone had previously said.
I can't agree, other songs are ok but Work On This sounds like Mirrorballin part 2 and she's really annoying with this "porno bitch" stuff, at least in the two samples I've heard. And the second one was a 30 second sample with only her "singing"/"rapping" or whatever it was. Arrr.... Right now I feel that tracks from Truth Ep are gonna be my favorite ones, hope full songs will sound better than these samples... The ones that sound cool are Flesh And Blood, Self Aware, Babylon Fall, Cities On The Moon and Hey Now.

Wait a second.....you're saying that Insomnia was.....TOO heavy? I can't be reading this right. There were 2 songs on the entire album that would even be considered heavy. The entire album was dragged down by a bunch of generic punk riffs and pretty shitty rapping and lyrics. If anything, they're not nearly as heavy as they should be.

Not heavy..but...too...not me. A bunch of pointless screeching, shitty poorly-thought concepts(Atlantis AD was nice on THAT tip), horrible rhyme-structure(Minus one song..the only one I dig is ComeOva2Nite), and bad singing. Oh..and horrible sound quality. All that together= is why the album sounded like mush. I don't really dig the direction they've gone with the sound...but, I'm cool with the lyrical content. I'm not saying I agree with the message necessarily, but meaningful songs/songs with purpose> songs about strippers/pussy. Jah needs to realize, if he's going to 'rap'...he def needs to clean up the structure. From what I can tell..he's done that with this album. I'm a hip-hop head..so...that's what I'm looking for. The 'heaviness' of a drop means nothing to me...

The 'heaviness' of a drop means nothing to me... That I definately agree with. Very little of that sound is appealing. The album was obviously slopped together in a very short amount of time and the result was poor. When I say heavy (hed), I mean shit like Waiting To Die, Represent, Firsty, etc. They had a certain edge with that material that they completely lack these days. - Quote :

Really now. My an idiot? This is news to me, especially coming from someone who clearly has a strong grasp on the concept of grammar. If you're going to try and insult me for no reason, at least do it right. For now, hold off on the personal attacks.

| Still haven't caved for the samples but I got my ho to listen to them out of curiosity. She's been an avid fan since post Blackout era. She says after hearing the samples she can see herself falling away from hed because they are getting far too political. She dug the shit you could pump and shake your ass to on your way to a party. She says it sounds like about 10 of the songs will be really solid songs but the rest sound recycled and samey, telling me it would be better if they dropped the trash and kept the good shit, in turn making for a solid album.
Hope I don't feel the same. Please tell me this is certainly not an Insomnia sequel and something entirely different brothers! I'm psyched for this shit!

It sounds like your ho is right on the money with this one. I feel the exact same way. With like 26 tracks, a lot of it sounds like it's just going to be filler. If they got rid of the shitty stuff, it might be a great album. However, the samples alone sound better than Insomnia as a whole, so you need not worry about that.

Maybe instead of three CD's they should have just made two, a rock one and a rap one.

Naaah.. that would split the fans. Who would want that? It's the combination that makes (hed) what they are.

Too bad they hardly ever combine their two best elements anymore. If Jared wants to do so many pure hip-hop tracks, then why doesn't he just sign as a solo artist under Subnoize? I listen to (hed) because I like the whole BAND, not because all I want to hear is Jared rapping.
