I saw it Saturday. It was definately a good movie, but not great. I actually expected it to be better than it was. It had tons of action, all of which is really, really awesome, but it was almost devoid of any depth. It lacked the heart that went into the one and two, and even three. It didn't really feel like a Terminator movie. There was so much action infact, that it left very little room for any character developement. There was some poor editing and slow pacing at times, as well. The overall feel of the film was as souless as the machines themselves. John Connor's character felt almost pointless until the end of the movie. I know this movie isn't supposed to focus on him as much as the next two, but they probably could've cut down his part a bit. Several other character were really under-utilized. Hopefully the extended DVD will elaborate more on the characters and story. The acting was decent, for the most part. I think what made this movie seem really average was the script. There was a really fantastic movie in there somewhere but the poor writing is what kept it from being any more than a slightly above average summer blockbuster. The story itself was fine, but the way it was told made it seem weak and paper-thin.

Though as much as it sounds like I hated this movie, I really didn't. I found it to still be highly enjoyable and would definately recommend seeing it in theaters. As I said, the action scenes are incredible, the effects are among the best I've seen, and Arnold's all-too-brief CGI appearance was badass beyond words. Yes, this film is 10 times better than T3, but still doesn't hold a candle to T2. I'm hoping they manage to correct what was wrong with this movie for the next one.

Star Trek is a better film as a whole. It's very character-driven and engaging, which is what TS SHOULD'VE been. However, as an action movie, TS is much more solid and consistent. I wouldn't automatically write it off. Both are great to see on the big screen.

I'll go see Up when it comes out instead
Just kidding, I'm graduating that night

But, was Christian Bale good in this movie? Like was he able to work with what he had?
Seeing how he thought he had the right to be a bitch on set LOL, I wanna know if he was as good as he was angry

Yeah, he was pretty good. I mean, he's an excellent actor, and it seems like he knows how to get the best out of lame scripts. A lot of people are trying to figure out what seen he blew up on, though, haha. I hope his outburst is an easter egg on the DVD.

NO WAY! Number 2 is by far the best. One of the only sequels ever made that actually surpassed the original!
