Slipknot

Subject: Slipknot Mon Jan 26, 2009 9:00 am

Who likes Slipknot? b/c they are my favorite band. They're currently on tour w/ Trivium and Coheed & Cambria, and they are playing at Madison Square Garden February 5th, I wish I could go to that but sadly, I don't live in New York lol. I was lucky to see them during the Rockstar Mayhem Tour and they fuckin rocked, I hope they come to Virginia again before Corey & James go back into the studio with Stone Sour.

If there are any maggots on this forum, whats your favorite album? My favorite is definately their self-titled album.

S/T is the way to go!!! I really liked Volume three better than IOWA and their most recent album kicks ASS! I live in Arlington, VA you planning on going when they come to town next? I'll stomp you down in the pit! BWAHAHAHA!!!!

Fuck yeah man, I'm a definately try to go next time they come to town. When I saw them in concert, Corey promised that they would not wait more than 2 years to come back to VA. I think Vol. 3 is ALOT better than Iowa, All Hope Is Gone is good, there are a couple songs on it I don't care for(Butcher's Hook & Gehenna).

Yeah they have a few weaker songs on AHisG but over all masterfully done well...

I didn't know anyone here in VA at the time and I really didn't feel like going to an outdoor all day concert by my self. It was a kick ass line up and I wish I would have gone but it would have been my 5th time seeing the knot. Along with every other headliner I have seen at least once or twice so I don't know if I missed much I havn't seen before.

I went and seen Slipknot, Trivium and Coheed & Cambria on Friday. Slipknot kicked ass, Trivium kicked ass, but I didn't care for Coheed & Cambria at all, I thought they sucked! Overall though it was a good show.

As for my favorite Slipknot album... definitely the self titled. I differ from you guys though, I think the Iowa album kicks ass... I love it! I personally think that Iowa is way underrated, but hey, that's my opinion. Subliminal Verses was good too, but I still put Iowa in front of it. My least favorite is the newest album... All Hope Is Gone.

I also love Iowa, but the only problem with it is Corey's screaming, it can just get annoying sometimes. I think Vol. 3 is much better because it really shows Corey's talent as a vocalist and the album itself is very unique. I'm not sure which one is my least favorite, either Iowa or All Hope Is Gone.

Saw slipknot in december over here on the UK tour. I was pissed off though because I paid £200 for a Reading Festival ticket. I bought one to see Rage obviosuly, but slipknot was a bonus, then it got to the day before we left for the festival and slipknot cancelled.
So I felt a bit ripped off when I paid £40 to see them when they toured seperately...
Still MACHINE HEAD were supporting these fuckers over here, for once we actually had better support than over in the US.

I saw Slipknot a while ago, before I had heard any of their music. A couple friends had an extra ticket so I went. Got elbowed in the face LMAO. Also saw System of a Down and Rammstein that night.
