Well, that was a surprise.

I know he spoke of this in interviews from time to time, but it kinda came unanounced..

I'm really curious to see where this is going.
Is it going to be a more hiphop reggae orientated thing, like he was hinting on a while back?
(on facebook he was looking for members to do a reggae band remember)

I will deffo check this out, and hope he leaks a song pretty soon!

I'm guessing Doomsday Paradise is just a single for Unite EP, since it's not listed on that tracklist. This single and EP were confirmed on facebook though.

This was so out of left field lol, haven't heard anything about this til now. But, I am excited to hear the EP. and Crossbones is right, Doomsday Paradise is just a song.

Oh, and you can listen to a 30 second snippet on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Doomsday-Paradise-feat-hed-Explicit/dp/B007DD30O0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1330161164&sr=1-1

Gotta say...I'm very intrigued.

Thanks MadMadMan565 for the Amazon snippet Smile
It sounds like a b-side of "Truth Rising"

Really excited about this news but f*ck sorry guys...that song just sounded like the same old shit to me. What a bummer. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed it and I'll wait till I hear the full song before I make a full judgement. So are we only going to hear one song of Jahreds in the EP? Or do we get a full solo project from Jah like mentioned. I'm confused.

I don't understand why they'd release a song that's not going to be on the EP. That makes no sense at all to me.

Anyways I don't think it sounds like the same old shit sound wise. But lyrics wise, yeah it does. I like the way Jahred is singing in it though. He doesn't sing that way a lot (and frankly, it's a good change of pace from the screaming and moaning and grunting) Reminds me of how he sings the chorus in HEY NOW...a little bit lol.

Like someone said...to me it sounds like a Truth Rising B-Side. It sounds weak. I want something tough and groovy and heavy and hip-hop. This sounds like yuckiness to me.

The reason why they probably released it separately because it probably is a Truth Rising B-Side. Supposedly the Unite EP is all Reggae.

That still doesn't make sense because they are advertising Doomsday Paradise as the "first taste of Jahred's solo project". If it's nothing like the rest of the EP then it would not be an accurate taste.

And also, where did you hear that Unite would be all reggae?

He said in this interview he was planning on releasing a 5 song demo EP with him singing over Reggae Loops. I'm thinking that has changed though since "Smash Em Up", from that Unite EP tracklist, doesn't sound too reggae-ish.

Ohhh okay. And just to clarify, I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything lol I just didnt know where it was that he said that about the reggae thing.

Anyways I'm kind of hoping it HAS changed, because I don't want the whole EP to just be reggae.

If it is all reggae it wouldn't bother me. I love reggae. I do hope it has some rap songs and some softish rock song similar to The Meadow. Hopefully we're blown away

i always thought that hed is almost a jah thing (something like NIN), with the a lot of the music by some guitarrist, but the overall final product is jahs vision, didnt think it was necessary to release a "solo project"

THIS!!!! I agree x100000

When talking about (hed), Jahred always makes it seem like it's all his decision, all his music, he has all say. On Facebook and a lot of interviews he always focuses on himself and he almost always makes it seem like he's the sole member of the band lol.

I seen it too as soon as he uploaded it, I was probably 2 mins late lol. If you look at the hed pe twitter account. One of the tweets shows the link, you click it and then it says it was removed. It probably is privated.
